Product Description
Ideal disc for large herds and professional trimmers. Disc works as a finishing disc in wood, can be used to do notches, stairs, furniture or any type of finishing work. More aggressive disc than the 6-slotted carbide flat disc. Comes with 3 interchangeable inserts. Each insert has two sharpened edges that can be rotated. Averages 100 animals before inserts become dull. Inserts can be sharpened up to 3-4 times before replacement of inserts.
There are several advantages to the Thin Design. Because the disc is thinner the insert is exposed on the bottom side of the disc. This allows easier trimming between the toes on a hoof. The thin design makes this disc lighter than others.
- Light weight
- Trims between toes with ease
- Fairly aggressive

I used a 4" 4 bladed round roto clip disc, until now.

For over 15 years I have used a 4 inch 4 bladed roto clip disc for trimming dairy cows. Twice the disc has kicked back and took chunks out of my left hand. This last time it cut right through the tendon. So I switched to a new disc . The three bladed thin 4.5 inch disc. I have used the 4 inch 4 bladed flat before. But I wanted something more aggressive. In my opinion, there is little difference between the flat bladed disc.
Overall the flat blades run smoothly and are safer. However I do miss how the round wheel cuts on the edge.
